Review:I first discovered this book when I was looking up the audio narrator Sophie Eastlake for another series and I discovered that she also did the audiobooks for this series as well. One of the first things I noticed about this book was that it tended to change POV between the two main characters Riley and Ian without warning out much of a break, you could be reading from Riley’s POV and then in the next paragraph, it would be Ian’s and that annoyed me quite a bit.
In the beginning of the story I actually wasn’t the biggest fan of either of the main characters, I feel that Ian was pretty arrogant towards other and for no real reason, he reminded me of Christian Grey from Fifty Shades of Grey a little bit. Riley, I found to be annoying when she wouldn’t let anyone help her, even in the smallest way, and when she did accept the help I found her to act a little ungrateful, I just really found that her pride got on my nerves quite a bit, especially in the end. Towards the end, I feel Ian redeemed himself because he did his best to change even when it was difficult.
The story was overall very interesting, and I did enjoy the ending, I liked that when they hinted at the next couple for book two it was similar as the introduction of Riley and Ian at the beginning. This left me really intrigued and I can’t wait to explore both sides of the Dare family.
