I Survived
review 1: My 8 year old son bought this book at the book fair. He loved it and now wants to read the other books in the series. He has read a bunch of other books with me, but this is the first he read unprompted (and in one day, it was an easy read) and is actually excitedly waiting for the next book to come in. Yeah! I just read it myself today. I didn't think I would like a book about a true life shark attack (and wasn't too happy that this is what my son was excited about, even though I know boys love sharks) but it was very good. It tells the story of the child who was attacked; his family dynamic and his attempt at making friends. The book focused on the positives that resulted from a traumatic experience. That completely won me over, not to mention it was interesting ... moreall the way through.
review 2: This book is a very interesting book and I did not expect to have fun reading this. I love how it based on a true story. This book is good for intermediate reader and if a fun read but it is very sad in some parts. I love the book so much I am reading more of the I Survived series. I recommend this book to people who like action and adventure because it is fun and exciting. It also show that things can be survived. less
