review 1: Investigating a gang dealing with drugs is never an easy job. Lucas and Danny know it perfectly well. After whole year of work they seem to get close to something really important. If only they could find out what it is exactly. And stay alive long enough to tell the tale. Which may not be easy with explosions and bullets flying around...It was a nice story. But it lacked something that would make it incredible. Lucas was often over the top with his snarky and clever remarks and it was getting on my nerves. Also everything was resolved too easily. It could happen, why not, just... I waited for something better, more. Not sure myself what exactly but I'm not all that impressed with the book.
review 2: This was good but it had a hard time keeping my attention. Th... moreis is about two cops who are partners in the narcotics division. The story starts off with a bang and the action stays in high gear almost throughout the story, not a lot of down time in this one. The story is narrated by Lucas and I never really felt I had a handle on Danny's character, I think for me that affected the story. It looks like it may be an on going series.I'm really not sure why this didn't work for me but it has likeable characters with an interesting story. If you like cop stories where the partners fall for each other you may want to give this one a chance. less
