review 1: This is the second book in the Shifter's Haven series. These books so far have been a good sweet read. This book however lacked urgency or suspense. Basically in the first book of the series you know Cody meets his mate and you know anything that happens because this book takes place overlapping the last few chapters of the first one. It would have been nice as long as the stories followed a similar time line to have seen the some of the other events where these two are mentioned. Including completing the set up for the next book. I mean we know the next book is about Kelan and from the first book you know that Kelan goes to NY to visit Cody and comes home with a surprise (read: mate). And from the blurb of the book you know a little more than that. So it would hav... moree been interesting toi see the other side of the scenes from the end of the first book, and the set up as to why Kelan was in NY per say.Again not a bad book, just a little meh...
review 2: I think this book could have been so much better, the relationship between Cody and Stefan is one of my favourites in this series, but I was so disappointed that the depth of their emotional bond was not explored further. It would have been nice to see a little more angst and conflict when it came to Stefan's wife and son and what that relationship meant for Cody's possible relationship with his mate. I liked the overall story, just think it had more potential. less
