review 1: This was SUCH A CUTE BOOK!! I loved the twist on the story, and how the one bear is lost in the city. I loved the story line. It was very well thought out and told. The illustrations were wonderful accompaniment to the story. I loved how the bear eventually found his way to Goldilocks apartment ( who had a family) and was sleeping in one of their beds. The author must have had fun writing this book.
review 2: I am going to categorize this book under folk tales, as it is a spin on, or really extension of, the traditional Goldilocks and the Three Bears folk tale. This book begins with "Once upon a time..." and concludes with, "and they all lived happily ever after."It is a jolly read, lovely for kids familiar with Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It would be a nic
... moree read aloud in a unit discussing folk tales. It would even be a good book to introduce a writing prompt relating to folklore. I would use this book in read alouds and individual reading. Read aloud to K-1 kids and individual reading for 1-3. If using for a unit on folk tale, it is great through elementary school! It is similar to the book - The True Story of the Three Little Pigs - in that it is an addendum to the traditional tale. less
