review 1: This is my first review on Goodreads so bear with me please! I rated this book a 4.7/5.I recently got back into reading in the last year, after a classmate recommended the "Beautiful Disaster" series to me. No doubt in mind I loved the series and tried to adapt to reading more books labeled under "new adult". Everybody loves a bad boy with a tattooed covered body but even as a 18 year old, the sex scenes left me feeling like I was a little boy sneaking in a few pictures from playboy. I didn't have any expectations picking up "The Truth About Faking". I wasn't well aware of any other books written by the author but the summary in the back intrigued me. I loved myself a good "fake relationship" story so I decided to read it.....and came to the conclusion that I ABSOLUTELY AD... moreORED this book. It was a quick breezy read that left you with just the right amount of fluffy romance. The book wasn't overly filled with angst or a passionate romance but about real life high school situations (thinking you like this person when you actually like someone else), finding oneself (Trent's true identity), and plot twists that you didn't expect (the town pastor married a hot yoga babe!??!)! It made me laugh out loud and it was the right kind of easy light romance that I needed after reading so many "new adult" books. A B+ on my list.
review 2: This book was a wonderful, fast read. The relationships and characters are written so well! I really felt like the author captured true teen angst and feelings. I liked the separate plots interwoven together. I like how issues were handled in an honest and true way, and I really like the Christian beliefs and lessons brought to the story as well! Well done!
