review 1: It took me several attempts to finish this book because the writing is, in my opinion, inferior to some of my favorite fantasy authors (I.e. Cassandra Clare, Holly Black). However, despite its predictability, it was still fun. I do love anything that combines Shakespeare and the Faerie Realm. I will read the third, just to see how it all ends. I would recommend this series to struggling teen readers who need teen interest level at a lower reading level.
review 2: This book was still just as fast paced as the first one but it seemed like it went back to the typical tale of 2 possible loves to choose between and also having to tell the true love that you don't love them. How many times will this same old tale be told? I had higher expectations after reading the... more first book in the series. It seemed so different... slightly disappointed but only on this one aspect. Great read overall. less
