review 1: Interesting time-travel story, though it didn't quite completely gel for me. Still, I finished it, so the story had enough grip for that. I would probably have been more willing to suspend disbelief if the author had not included an actual historical figure. Best line: "Riders, please keep your arms and legs inside the space-time continuum at all times. And we do mean all times."I'm not rating this one, just making a few comments.
review 2: Change is in the air for best friends Joan and Lee of San Francisco. First, both will be heading off to different high schools in the fall, and secondly, at dinner the night before, both sets of parents announce their divorce plans. The next day, while on their eighth grade field trip, the friends sneak into the Fort Poi... morent lighthouse to get warm and to talk about their mutual family dramas. Thus, begins one wild field trip--traveling back in time to 1864 San Francisco, complete with Sam Clemens as their guide. less
