review 1: Sweet little gem here even if the villain was not a myster from the very start... but hey I loved it.Karina is a great PI with more heart than money and she lives to help her customers. And when she becomes the next victim of serial killer there is one cop ready to help her and protect her. He incidentally is also a Dom and Karina is a sub, what a coincidence! LOLKarina is really a great character while Derek is more an acquired taste with his fanatic hate for germs and his need to control everything and everyone. I loved her.Really a great story
review 2: This is the first book of Lexi Blake's that I have read and I loved it. I'm going to buy the rest of the Masters and Mercenaries series now. Karina was very brave, agreeing to being the bait, knowing there is... more somebody wanting to kill her. I can't imagine keeping an addiction a secret, but Derek knew there was something she was hiding. I figured out who the killer was as soon as he showed up out of the blue, especially when she hadn't heard from him in years, I was worried they wouldn't get to her in time. I would encourage everybody to read this. less
