review 1: Another great showing with Dev, Daniel, and Zoey. They head to Dev's home to celebrate their love, but danger lurks just around the corner. At first I had a tough time getting started with the story, but after a few chapters I was drawn back in to this amazing world. I love that Zoey is more comfortable with the strange creatures of this unique place. She has no judgement about different just injustice. Got to love this kick butt lady. Lexi Blake spends most of the first part of the book sharing everyday experiences. It's not until half thru the book that the action happens. I am having a tough time knowing I have to wait until June for the next book. Enjoy!!
review 2: Now that Zoey has officially married Dev & Dan and become the goddess of Bris, it's time to v... moreisit with Dev's family in the fae realm. It's the hope of the Seelie & Unseelies that the new High Priest & Green Man's presence will bring about a new age of prosperity and fertilty to the realm. The open ended vacation/honeymoon is a welcome break from the recent crisis problems the trio have encountered but Zoey will have to locate and acquire the blood stone if they plan to return to the Earth realm or Dan's life expectancy will come to an abrupt end. But not everyone's happy Dev has found his Goddess or that Zoey is planning to steal a guarded treasure from the faes. Zoey's being a very bad girl .... again. Could this series get any better than it has? I can say, after reading this installment, that yes it can. Totally loved loved loved the writing style of the author and the action adventure story line that has our trio embarking on another phase of their plans to overthrow the vampire council AND reconcile Dev with his family. So so so so so many parts in this book had me laughing out loud with it's snark, corny comeback lines, unique twists and turns, and awesome girl power lines. I laughed for over 5 minutes at one memorable line in this book (though there were many others but not as intense) which I can't share because of spoiler potential... ok. I can't help myself. It has to do with videos but that's all I can say. Best line of the whole entire book. As for the adult content and menage action. Yup. It's in here plus the ante is raised as Dev and Dan are now ok with man on man touching. To what extent you'll have to read to find out. Zoey continues to enjoy the benefits though from her guys in fun fashion including sugarkink quality BDSM play. Secondary & main characters. The whole gang is back including a couple I had given up hope of ever seeing again. Totally added an additional layer of realism with the play of personalities pitted against each other. I just love it when an author adds small details and personality to their world building. I got to find out things like which character listens to Justin Beiber music, who won't pass up the chance to scarf down nachos, and who has a weakness for dancing nekkid if the situation is right. What I also got to experience in reading this book is that while many of the characters bring out the warm and fuzzy feelings in me the author has also been successful in portraying a foil of evilness and bad guy characters who add excitement, anxiety, and fear in me. Be ready to pull out the tissues as this isn't the end of the series and bad things can happen to good people. Just sayin.When a book/series/author is able to wring out the high and low emotions in a reader I can't help but give my utmost admiration and endorsement for others to check it out. That I do for this book though it isn't a stand alone installment so you'll have to read the previous ones which really isn't a bad thing if you enjoy contemporary paranormal/urban fantasy erotic romance reads. For myself I can't wait for the next installment to find out where things go from here. :D less
