review 1: I loved, loved, loved this book! Such a sweet, romantic, sexy and hot lovestory. That the characters are a Hollywood action hero and a hot sizzling Australian bodyguard just made it even more perfect. I'm a sucker for the movie "The Bodyguard" so I just knew I'd love this story. And I *heart* stories of a first time for one of the guys. And let me tell you their first time was sizzling hot! Definitely a must-read and even though Bethany is a tiny little bit annoying and really shouldn't have shown up in that one sex scene, I'm giving it 5 stars : )
review 2: My Review:Aw, I forget how much I love delving into Lexxie Couper's Australian books. This was another great one...and bonus...this one happens to be an m/m, which you all know that I love. This book is ab... moreout American a-list actor and heartthrob, Chris. He's in Australia for a week to promote his latest action thriller release and Liev has been hired to serve as his bodyguard. Immediately upon seeing Liev, Chris feels something he never has before...desire for another man. Up until this point, Chris has always thought he was straight. Liev, on the other hand, has always been extremely confident about his bisexual status. The bulk of the book covers 7 days, but wow...they were a fabulous 7 days as Chris is struggling with what he's feeling and Liev is struggling to maintain his professional attitude. Nothing can happen between these two...it would ruin Chris's acting career as a blockbuster heartthrob. But sometimes chemistry, and an extremely observant PA, can throw life for a loop. I really loved this story. And yes, I even shed tears at the end. These are two guys who are both very alpha and very sexy and the two of them together....whoa! Some great, hot scenes in this one. But it goes beyond sex. Even before they get involved that way, they make a connection as friends. Chris talks about the fact that he just needs eye-contact with Liev to help settle him. I loved that. Such a simple thing, but it spoke so much on how deeply the two connect even early on. The set-up for the story was great and worked on me on every level.I loved the two guys and their relationship, but my favorite part had to be Bethany, Chris's PA. She sees what's brewing between the two. She is so smart and so straight-laced 99% of the time. I loved the twist in her character though that helped her bring these two together. Such a heartwarming way for the story to go. I need to do some research and see if Lexxie has plans or already released a story for Bethany because I definitely loved her character and her sass, hidden behind her stoic facade. less
