review 1: I hated it but it was my own fault. It came with a warning, "Warning: This title contains hot sex, spanking, ice, light bondage, anatomically dubious positions and misuse of an electric toothbrush." I got spanked way too many times as a kid to find it sexy. The whole "you are so beautiful, I want to hurt you" thing makes me want to reach for a gun. It's lendable so let me know if you want to get my moneys worth out of it.
review 2: On the brink of extinction, real-life monsters head for Hollywood in order to change the public perception of them via movies and TV. In this story, it's Michael the [spoilers! but not really a surprise] and Jane the screenwriter.I hated Jane. H A T E D with a purple passion of epic proportion. Hate that had my blood boiling and was... more ready to toss my Nook against the wall. Then beat the wall some more. Jane is now in my top five WORST heroines of all time. Why? Wishy-washy, I want you, don't want you, kiss me, go away, shag me, you can't touch me, I don't want a relationship with you...WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T WANT A RELATIONSHIP WITH ME! Yeah, shrill, annoying, die Jane, die.Michael. Well, the only thing I can say about him is that he must be paying for past sins or a closet masochist 'cuz no man...monster or martian would put up with Jane.The concept is fresh and I'm still interested in this world but book one was ruined by too much sex and not enough story and this book was ruined by a horrid, horrid 'heroine'. I'm not sure if I'm willing to try book 3. I fear for the safety of my Nook. less
