review 1: wow! book addiction again! I loved this book.... better than the first. the first was good, buy this had growth, chemistry and a great murder, mystery story. I have ready many books with the first person female lead. what I like about JJ is the no fluff. there's no silly, I love him, I love him not, oh no!, blinded by stupidity, girl stuff. she gets to it. she's smart. she's dedicated. and she's strong. can't say enough about jack. that's the guy you sans take home to mom. he to is smart, dedicated, strong.... perfect match. ready for book 3.
review 2: So we have book number two in the series and a lot of things could have gone wrong: we could have lost the love and interest for a character, the story could have suck....but Damn ! this story-book series is ... morelike cheese and wine... it just gets better with time !This time we get a interesting view of J.J. and Jack's love story with a delicious side of hate-crime motivated murders.. what a perfect combination!!I love that the author made the characters feel their romance and embrace each other but still kept to the true nature of their jobs. She made well use of secondary characters to play out the story and introduced us to new ones at the same time. Since I have to write something negative (yeah I am that kind of person) even if I gave the book fove star, I would say that sometimes as I was reading I wanted to kick J.J. in the head for being such a wuzz, but I do understand the girl is been thru a lot so I let if flow....I sometimes hate cliffhangers at the end of the book,cause I feel they are written just so you buy the next one, but this one is perfectly introduced and you JUST have to keep on reading..... less
