review 1: I could say it a thousand times but it would still mean the same!! And it would still be the exact same sentiment that hit me the first time I finished a book by you!! I loved it.....Obviously!!I could go on and blabber a thousand meaningless lines about how fantastic and absolutely delicious this book was!! But that would be the sensible thing to do!! So I would leave it on this mysterious note....and ask the one question that has haunted me since I'd finished this thing!!......What's with the name?? I mean Why even name the thing in the series if you don't even introduce a character from the series in this novella?? The only thing I could find that connected this book one with the series was the vague and extremely non-suggestive ideas the kept on popping in my head, whi... morele reading this thing!! It was confusing!!.....SERIOUSLY!!....And really disturbing!!...I kept on expecting Miss Bannon or Clare to fall in on the storyline!! Useless to say it never happened!!Apart from THAT??.....JUUUUUST like always!!........
review 2: I really enjoyed almost all of this book. Let's say the first 3/4, I found the story building enticing, the characters great, the world that Lilith Saintcrow created fascinating with just enough horror to keep on going. But then it almost felt like they said "whoops, I only have 30 pages to wrap up this story, better do everything at once". With so much build up and so many great story lines going, I wish there had been more explanation and time put into finishing up the story versus one of those that almost felt like they waved a magic wand to solve everything in the nick of time. I still like the world and I hope that Saintcrow goes back to the Old West for some future stories. less
