Potluck Catering Club
review 1: I like reading books about women who are there for each other in daily life and as they struggle with issues. The women in the Potluck Club are very aware of the need for prayer and guidance in their lives. I also like the mix of women-not all are Southern belles or fashion plates. Most of all they are friends who care about each other. This is a refreshing idea rather than back biting or competition to be better than others at all cost. We could all use a friend that lifts up when we need it. That is a good story line.
review 2: This is a Christian novel. Sometimes I like them and sometimes I don't. Sometimes they are too preachy or just not well written, but this one was fun. The novel is not only about cooking and catering, although that is a good
... more part of the book (and there are recipes at the end), but the whole story revolves around each of the lives of the cooking club members. Each one has her own story but the novel also intertwines their stories well. They are woman who not only cater together but are friends.... and the kind of friends that would have your back when needed. I wasn't crazy about the format of the book at first. The chapters are labled after each character. I ended up writing each of their names on a paper and added a few tidbits about each one so I could keep them straight. I did get used to the style of writing though, and enjoyed the book. less

I like this whole series of books. Light, fluff and fun read.

Not interesting. It's like a soap opera-boring and useless.
