review 1: Well. I enjoyed this series, but more for the characters than the story lines I think. This last book turned ot to be a mystery, but a not-too-interesting one in my view. I'm glad it's over, because if I had to spend any more time with evil Evie I think I'd strangle her. There's not a lot to like about this over-bearing, controlling, opinionated, pushy.....well, you get the picture. A nice easy-reading series though, along with the first one; "The Potluck Club."
review 2: This was a fun book to read. I am just now finding out this is the third book in a series. I didn't read the other two books but had no trouble following the women's friendships and lives at all. All of the women in this story were women I would like to know in real life. They were spunky, ene
... morergetic, and very "southern". I like the fact that the heroines in this book are all older. They are in their late 40's/early 50's. Bake until golden is a book I would recommend. I am going to look for the other 2 in the series. Oh, and as an added bonus all the recipes mentioned in the book are in the back of the book! less
