Pet Rescue Mystery

review 1: Lauren Vancouver, animal lover and rescuer, runs HotRescues, a no kill animal shelter. Lauren is also a widow, and a mother to two college age kids. She has found an enemy in Efram Kiley, an animal abuser who works at a puppy mill where she recently rescued four beagle pups who were tossed in a drain pipe. Efram soon threatens Lauren and the shelter. That same night, he is found stabbed to death at HotRescues, and Lauren quickly becomes the suspect after then finding the body. The detective on the case is certain it’s her and all but refuses to look at anyone else. Lauren decides to do her own little detective work and take on the case herself to discover who really did this to efram.
review 2: This was just a fun and delightful who-done-it puppy caper myster... morey. I am a pet lover, so that made the book all that much better. Not only is there pet love, but the book has mystery, romance, and lots and lots of animals. There is also lots of mystery, I loved they way I was kept guessing right until the end, who was the guilty person. This is the first book I've read by this author, Linda O. Johnston, and I was not disappointed, I understand this is the first book of a series, however, it was a stand alone book also. I will be looking forward to reading another book by this author.This is my favorite kind of reading, pets, mystery, and a bit of romance. I liked it so much I awarded it 5***** less
