review 1: The book was amazing!!!! I felt so overwhelmed at the end. I didn't even know there was a second book until I got to the last sentence and I was like, what??!!! it can't end like that!!! there's still a lot that needs to be told, and when I had found out there was second book I almost started crying because I was so extremely joyed. The book is also one of the best ones that I have read and am obsessed with. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a great book that keeps them on edge, and is mixed with all the perfect things, then this is it, this is the book you are looking for. It made me do a ton of thinking and had me going through so many feelings. I'm SO glad that I chose this book. And you will be too, I promise.
review 2: Well, we've done angels, demo
... morens, vampires and shapeshifters. So it just makes sense that now we have Djinn. Not as good as I thought it would be. The motivations of the characters are unknow-able as with most teens. I can't tell if that is what the author was doing on purpose or if it was just bad writing. I started out liking this character because it seemed like an offshoot of Glee but then it turned into Coyote Ugly, then into Vampire (Djinn) Diaries and after that I just didn't much care. While the teens have issues and I usually like the ways that different authors help them work through things, this one just left too many things hanging loose. Nowhere did I hear this is part of a series but it almost has to be because of the ending, which was totally unsatisfactory. Read it, weep and wait for the next sequel. less
