review 1: Great cookbook for those who want to go vegan, but afraid it is too expensive and ingredients too difficult to find. Nixon uses very simple ingredients that are found in all grocers and most of her recipes call for a limited number of ingredients. One of the greatest additions is the inclusion of weight watcher points for those of us watching our intake. My favorite recipes so far are cheater peanut butter muffins and sonoma no chicken salad. Highly, highly recommend for anyone who is vegan curious and those who are already vegans as well!
review 2: Probably best for committed vegans as you have to make vegan alternatives from the recipes in this book before you can prepare other recipes in the book. If you don't live in an urban area some ingredients would be
... moremore challenging to find. Even in the city, we found we had to go to specialty stores to find some items. The recipes we did try were good, but we ruled out quite a few due to the issues mentioned above. less
