review 1: This is an amazing novel that I didn't even expect to enjoy when I bought the 1st book in this series. Such a beautiful coincidence that I happened to open Princess For Hire. To be honest, before I opened the first book, I thought it would be just another princess story for girls who are obsessed with fairy tales. Well, I was wrong then. And now I just finished the whole Princess For Hire series. Sometimes in life you just need this kind of books -- cute, fun, and magical. Sure I think Desi should be older -- 13 is really too young, but the stories are really, really cute and I just love it. Maybe the characters are a bit of stereotyped and the plots are not unexpected, but, hey, it brings joy and that's enough for me.
review 2: This series kind of straddles th
... moree middle grade/YA boundary--and, in fact, that's my biggest complaint: the main character acts older than she really is. Otherwise, it's a fun premise (magic make-up changes your appearance so you can sub for royals while they vacation) with some twists that keep it exciting. It sounded like this is the end, but it also left open the potential for a new series. I'd say this is a perfect series for 5th-7th grade girls. less

Weird, but good/happy ending and the good/nice character didn't turn out to be evil (for once)
