review 1: Summary from the author's web site. Desi Bascomb’s job as a princess substitute has gotten a whole lot more glamorous now that she’s advanced to Level 2 within the Facade Agency. Magical make-up, roller-skating celebrities, and the chance to see Prince Karl again are just some of the major perks. Not to mention, she’s landed the role of Fairy Queen in her school’s production of Midsummer’s Night Dream (opposite her best friend’s crush. Which is a little weird, but at least he wears a donkey head during their kissing scene). Life should be perfect, but Desi can’t seem to shake the feeling that there is more going on with the agency’s magic than she’s told. Like why is this mind-bending power exclusive to royals? Is it possible that there could be a bigger... more way to make an impact in both parts of her life? What girl hasn't dreamed of being a princess and imagining all the exquisite perks that surely must come their way? This is the second book in the series but it stands alone. I personally did not care for it much. Desi's character seemed older and more cynical (snarkier) than most middle schoolers I have known. And, it is fairly superficial concerned with looks and fashion and light romance. There's no doubt, however, in my mind that this will appeal to a fair number of tween girls.
review 2: It was amazing! It was better, much more hilarious and romantic than the previous book. It kept me excited until the last page. The story was just amazing. You wouldn't stop reading it until you've reached the end.I love Desi's humorous, dorky, and lovable character. I adore Desi for her kindness and heart. She cares so much for her clients that she doesn't care whether she loses her job just to making them happy. Her devotion to serve her clients is much more important to her than her devotion to her job. Because of that she is a great person to look up on.I was really surprised of the truth about Reed. I didn't really expected it. I was also very thrilled about it. I was just perfect. There were a lot of event and happening which was great. You thought it was over, but there was a lot ore to come. It was such a great, pager turning book. less
