review 1: Emery and Drakes story is as amazing and intense as Beau and Kate's. Whats nice about these book is that they are all standalones yet intermingled. The emotions I felt while reading this book made me feel like I was on an epic rollercoaster ride that I didn't want to get off. I loved that it wasn't an 'easy' love story and that they had to work for it and it was real as is all of Lisa's writing that I have read. The characters are relatable and you feel as if they could be your circle of friends. I just found it amazing and I adore Lisa's writing.
review 2: This is the 2nd of the series. Emery & Drake's story. We first met them in Kate & Beau's, When it Rains. Both Emery & Drake have their plans made, set firm in their ways. They will get through college and o... morento their future with this set plan. Well, some plans are made to be broken.There was more angst with these characters than I like. They did not communicate in their beginning of their relationship and low and behold, there were plenty of problems because of it.I'm glad that this book concludes with a HEA. There was plenty of chemistry & sweetness between Em & Drake.I can not deny my shock with a revelation at the end of the book. Of course that just sets the stage for the next book in this series. I will look forward to reading that this fall.I am a fan of Lisa De Jong and her storytelling! less
