review 1: I liked this book.It remind me a lot of the movie The Deep End of the Ocean starring Michelle Pfeiffer. It had very similar plots. This book kept me guessing and on my toes. I read it in a day and a half. My favorite characters were Gracie and Cami. I wanted the writer to go into more details about what happened after the kidnapping, what Ethan went through day by day I was on edge to know what happened when Ethan got in the car with two strangers but at the end I understood why the writter didn't go into that many details. The book has you questioning yourself until the end: Is he or is he not Ethan?
review 2: This is probably McMann's best book. Picked it up not knowing anything about it, but just because she wrote it I gave it a shot. And holy. bleep. that end
... moreing? Call me naive, but I did NOT see that coming. I started to suspect it about 3/4 of the way, but WHOA?!?!?! It was very awesome, I cried at the end not even going to lie. I read this probably when it first came out actually so I don't remember much about it structurally that ending is what stands out to me in my mind. That poor boy and that poor family! I couldn't imagine being so elated to get my (imaginary) son back and then get him stripped away only to realize he was never back in the first place after you just created this new bond with a son you thought was yours to get back. Damn, I should read this book again. Definitely recommend this book if you haven't read it yet! less

I wish there was more to this book. Maybe 20 pages more. It just ended and I didn't really get it. Did he know the whole time? Was it planned? I am left with too many questions to say I enjoyed the book. Aside from the abrupt ending, it was a very fast read although I sensed a severe 'bitter' tone throughout the whole thing - it could have just been the tone I chose to use. Overall it was a quick read, abrupt ending, one of those books which you read quick and forget about. Not lasting impact at all.

First, I didn't read it, I listened to it on Audible, and if you like audiobooks listen to this one. The narrator does a fantastic job. Spoilers aheadI was loving this book until THE END happened. WT... couldn't Lisa give us just 20 more pages of closure? I don't think I'm going to be able to get over it for a while. Thank you Lisa.Anyway,if I forget about the ending, this book is great.
