review 1: SPOILER ALERTRighht about when Alex set off with Simber*sniffle sniffle* to the Island of Silence I looked at how much book I had left to read and I think.... This book is too short. How the heck are the going to rescue Meghan Sam and Lani and still make it back to save Artimé and help Mr.today?* more sniffles* .... Maybe fifteen pages after that I literally had to drop the book and Run to the bathroom. There I splashed my face with water to wake up. This book was like reading someone else's bad dream! Hooked and emotions running high I continued reading. Then Simber dies and I start sniffling then they lose magic and by now I am balling like a baby who lost its mama and is starving on the side of the highway. My roommate thought I was dying.
review 2: I am sh... moreocked. Curious. Anxious. Afraid. Sad. Excited. Slightly pleased. So many things happen in this second book that I am left with many feelings and some of them are conflicting. It takes us to a place in the story where nothing else can go wrong because EVERYTHING has already gone wrong. I did not see all the twists and turns and nosedives that this story took coming. Some were obvious from early on and others still have me reeling. I'm anxious to read the next book but I already know it will leave me hanging as I await the next publication. less
