review 1: Since 90% of what I read is true crime, not much fazes me. This is one criminal who does. His coldness and flatness, the way he seems to be able to talk his way out of everything. Thank God he is finally in jail! I believe that Natalee Holloway's case was handled ineptly by the police and investigators - to the detriment of Stephany Flores (who was killed after Natalee because Joran was still free). Everyone knows that he killed Natalee, and I wish that he would just tell the family where he stashed her body so they can put her to rest.
review 2: Fast reading, good research, but I hate to rate it other than a 3 because of the topic. It seems a crime in itself that Joran Van der Sloot was allowed to get off on Natalee Holloway's murder in Aruba, only to be... more released, and then go on to murder the next young lady, Stephany Flores in Peru. I feel terrible for all of their family, friends and parents. What sorrow and frustration they must feel every day. less
