review 1: This one has to go back to the library today, and I'm glad! It was just..... so long-winded. I think there was a story in there, but I don't know where. Basically, I think the framework for this book - a story within a story - only made it a muddled mess. And I'm sorry for that because, as I read, I kept thinking that Samson had something very interesting to say. But now I don't have to finish it and, frankly, that's a relief.
review 2: Loved this book! The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was it did take me a few chapters to get into the story and the flipping back and forth to tell the different periods of her life story got me a little dizzy until I adjusted. Once I made the adjustment I loved the portrayal of God's grace and the depiction of he... morer love for Jesus containing being so natural. The fact that Mary-Margaret's friendship with Jesus didn't come from following rules but a two-way relationship between MM and Him increased my desire for the same type relationship between my Lord and myself. I'm looking forward to Lisa Samson's next book. less
