review 1: Lisa Scottoline is a hoot, and I suspect she would be a lot of fun to hang out with. That said, this book doesn't have much meat to it, and doesn't particularly cover anything new. It probably doesn't help that I don't relate to these women in any real way. I can't imagine truly stressing out about what size purse to use, not being able to talk about anything with my best friends, or using common insecurities as a way to forge friends. I've meet these people, but they're not my people. Still, they can be fun to listen into sometimes.
review 2: My first thoughts on "My Nest Egg Isn't Empty, It Just Has More Closet Space" by Lisa Scottiline were that of babble. But then it gave me hope that perhaps I can one day write about the silly things that really have
... moreno meaning in my life and somebody, somewhere will say "this is good stuff" NOT!! But one can dream :-) Well, I'm pretty sure there were other successful authors (Erma Bombeck comes to mind) who successfully wrote tidbits of such. Of I ever do publish a book worth reading (Stephen King can now write an owners manual about dishwashers and it would sell...pardon the pun). Finally, it was a fast read; and considering I have my own book club selection to get through, this is a good thing. less
