review 1: All time favorite book!!! I read it in two days I could not put it down. This book takes you on a journey with two young girls Pearl and May, they go through arranged marriage, war, moving to a different country, learning to cope with all that life has given them. This book is gripping and I can't even describe how much I love it!!! just go and get it you won't be disappointed. I can't even describe how attached I got to these characters. Lisa See's writing makes you feel the emotions and understand the true feelings and setting these characters go through. She is an incredible author. Warning this book may look small but it isn't it is so gripping you won't be able to put it down so make sure you have time to read and concentrate on the book.
review 2: This
... more has been sitting in my maybe I want to read pile for a long time. I'm about 30 pages in when I go onto Goodreads to find out there is a SEQUEL to this book. Look you authors having to push out sequels, trilogies just stop it (unless you're J.K. Rowling). I wanted to go into this book which is about 350 pages and have the story END> I don't want to have to go find the next one in order to continue. F that I about had an aneurysm when I thought I was reading the FINAL of trilogy only to find out at the end of the book the third part was split it two? WTF? STOP IT. less
