review 1: I do love a good time travel novel. The elements I liked about this one were the realism of the main character, Gabriella whose thoughts, I feel, very accurately represent those of a teenage girl thrust into this situation; the subtle inclusion of faith in God in a way that was not overbearing; and the purity of the relationship between Marcello & Gabriella. Certainly, I wish the focus had been a bit more on their relationship & a little less on the political tensions of the time, but overall, it was a quick & fun read.

... morejoy it. (I like getting books because they look pretty on bookshelves xD.) I read the Prologue of Waterfall and was surprisingly interested. It was a different idea of a book that I wouldn't have expected it to be by the cover. The way that Bergren describes the characters, the setting, and every other minuscule detail makes you just drawn in! I am a young person myself, and I read for a living, but before this book, I was never interested in the genre she uses. I really enjoyed this. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone. If you like romance and a little bit of action and fantasy, this book is right up your alley! (I read it in two days!) less
