review 1: I won this in a comp on the authors website but I'd had my eye on it for a while. And what a great read! I really enjoyed it and will re-read this I know.Josh, blind after an accident, meets Charlie, suffering severe cataracts and deteriorating eye-sight, meet at a camp Charlie runs with his parents and friends for people with limitations with their vision. Both have to overcome issues left over from previous relationships as well as coming to terms with each other. I liked that the characters were depicted as characters that had disabilities, rather than being the sum of their disabilities. I just enjoyed the story, despite some angsty moments, it was a definite feel good read that i started and didnt stop til I finished!
review 2: This book is an emotional rea
... mored for sure. I really enjoyed the relationship between Josh and Charlie. One is losing his sight and one already has. Charlie has chosen to help others like him and to see the bright side life. He has been given the chance to remember the things that he can see and he is grateful for it even though he is worried about what it will mean to his life when his sight does finally degenerate completely. Josh is a challenge to Charlie and Charlie is soothing to Josh. They complement each other well. I loved seeing this hopeful story about love in the face of all odds. This book was a joy to read. I look forward to reading more from Lisa Worrall. less
