review 1: 2.5 starsI can understand the appeal of this book. The two men are hot. That's the easiest way to put it, and their chemistry burns off the page. They are quite the couple. I had no issue at all with the trope of amnesia, even the multiple events of it, and in fact, it was Nash's second turn of it that really had me smiling at the characterisation. He is an arse, but I liked him—a lot—and I liked how Brody played to him, being a wiseass back and not taking his shit, even if deep down it was destroying him. That all worked for me, but it wasn't enough.What killed this story for me was two-part: 1) some of the utterly ridiculous events surrounding the plot. Things that made me "blink owlishly" and declare both silently and rather vocally, WTF!. I can handle a few little ... morebits that defy logic, we are after all in a story, but when it becomes just plain silly it spoils said story for me. I won't list them, and there are certainly adequate reviews that do just that, but it basically comes down to when Nash is lost (both times) and the "bodyguard" situation; and 2) my frustration by the overuse of the phrases "internal voice" and "I'll kill him myself." When you start noticing phrases and cringing to read them again, then they have been overused.There is something very lovely about Lisa Worrall's writing. She weaves a beautiful picture with her words, which is why, after finally getting around to reading two of her books recently that I'd had on my iPad forever, I went and bought this one to try a bit more from her. I'd hoped for better editing, which was a big issue with one of the other books, and had big hopes. Yes, the copy editing was fine, but I think the editing could have been a bit tighter substantively.If you can put aside a grasp on reality then give this book a go. You may love it like so many others have. Nash and Brody are very appealing and very sexy so probably worth it.

Questo è tutto ciò che importa.” Mise il palmo della mano sul cuore di Brody, che batteva all'impazzata, e portò quella dell’altro sul proprio. “Io e te, qui, insieme.”Solitamente non mi piacciono molto le trame basate sull'amnesia (in questo caso pure doppia! XD), mi irritano abbastanza, ma l'autrice è riuscita a portare il tutto avanti così bene che alla fin fine ci sono passata sopra senza colpo ferire! ;D Per fortuna poi, abbiamo incontrato prima il dolce e gentile Nash in versione Dr Jekyll perché se avessi conosciuto prima il Nashville Mr Hyde, bastardo e cinico, il mio apprezzamento per il personaggio (e il libro) sarebbe calato inevitabilmente XD Infatti perdendo la memoria Nash ritrova la sua vera personalità, lascia cadere la maschera da spietato uomo d'affari che ormai indossa anche nella vita privata e riesce ad innamorarsi per la prima volta completamente e perdutamente. E Brody ricambia così intensamente quell'amore che non può lasciarlo andare, anche quando sembra non esserci più speranza, anche quando il suo amante sembra essere diventato un'estraneo sgradevole e insopportabile ç_ç L'autrice ci regala entrambi i POV, così oltre a "leggere" il povero Brody possiamo entrare anche nella confusa mente di Nash e perfino nella mente dell'ideatore degli attentati alla sua vita (la cui identità comunque ci viene rivelata ben presto) per una visuale a 360° ;D Il finale è romantico e dolcissimo (Nash giustamente deve strisciare XD), con la giusta carica di adrenalina e passione! *ç* Quasi dispiaciuta che questo sia un romanzo singolo, non mi farò di sicuro scappare le prossime pubblicazioni di quest'autrice! ;D less
