review 1: Forgiveness seems to be a common theme in Christmas stories! Meg meets Gordon Shaw on the train from Stirling to Edinborough, but she doesn't know it's him until after she has told him how the accident he caused invovling her brother changed her family's life forever. Then the train gets stuck in the snow, her mother inadvertently invites this "stranger" into her home, and maybe, just maybe, love and healing blossom.
review 2: what a beautiful bookcover, the setting was done so well I felt drawn into the era the train the family etc. pity belongs to those who deceive others. what a great example of what self-pity can bring a person to, and how blessed we are to not be in such a state. but more than that to be above it provide forgiveness which also provides hea

I love books that are penned in historical language but not so far into that I can't keep up. just enough that searching a definition teaches me something. meg seems to put more effort into her life than her brother Alan does, and the rewards verses the curses are very well displayed here. I have counted my blessings through this book and will try to always understand a person who is deceptive may really be in need. very good story really reaches into the heart if you let it, which could change somebodies holiday spirit or even their life. less
