review 1: I got this book after reading the back of it at a bookstore. I like when book take place in the past and the present and I like historical fiction, so I thought it would be good. So when I started reading it I was a little confused about the psych tape recordings. It was ok. Not great. I thought Caroline's character wasn't developed well. And it really irked me about how casually she scheduled her abortion and handled her pregnancy. The whole book just was lacking. Some parts that were good were rushed and then there were lots of bits that were very drawn out.
review 2: I had been through a very dry spell where no book was grabbing my attention. This book broke that dry spell. I really enjoyed how it was written and the characters. To me it was a book of hop
... moree and never giving up. A book that reinforced that while we never know where the road we are traveling will take us, you can find joy in the journey and be sure that at the end of the road you will be where you are suppose to be. less
