review 1: Summer is an orphan who doesn't fit into any of the numerous schools that she's tried. She is sent to a new school which turns out to be a school for witchlings who must choose to be either Dark or Light. This reminded me a lot of Beautiful Creatures and claiming. “There are three rules for those on the side of light to obey. One, do no harm to others. Two, help those who need it, no matter how undeserving they may be. Three, it is better to let evil win than to commit evil.” Lizzy Ford is a really good author. The writing is good, the characterization is good, and the pacing is good. Summer is a very sympathetic character and the reader feels for her and wants her to succeed. Add to that a hot pair of twins, one Dark and one Light and you have a perfect story. I am int... moreerested in reading more in this series. This book ends with a cliffhanger so I need to get the next book to see what happened. 4 stars.
review 2: I really really tried to give this a chance but couldn't read it anymore.I had a quarter left of this book and I just couldn't continue reading. There are so many gaps, the story doesn't flow. A lot of things are just left hanging out there and more or less left for you to figure out.And don't get me started on the characters.... the main character had to have sex with her boyfriend of 3 days to unleash her powers??!! Oh please. less
