review 1: Aidan falls in love with Mary Ellen the very first time he sees her, and she wants to show her attraction but she is a proper English lady and cannot be that free with her feelings. The more time they spend together the greater the attraction is between them, but he has a deep dark secret that he is terrified of telling her. Vampires, werewolves, the truth, family ties, and true love make this a good read!!
review 2: The last historical romance novel I read was Diana Gabaldon's "Highlander". And I must shamefully admit that I did not finish it...Therefore I chose a shorter one this time! Because nothing is as frustrating as having to leave a book of epic proportions unfinished, with all it's sequels already purchased in paperback. OK, I dust them off from time ... moreto time and they look good on my bookshelf...But back to this one...I really enjoyed it! Likeable characters and quite a lot of suspense despite its shortness.It has a paranormal element which I did not knew beforehand and which pleasantly surprised me. And so having read it, feels like having killed two birds with one stone...Because J.R. Ward's "Black Dagger" saga is another one I cannot bring myself to finish... less
