review 1: the main character Mary just angered me to no end she is an overweight wife who blames the added pounds on other people's death and a o.b.e.a.s.t .her 50th anniversary is rolling around and her husband has her plan a dinner and cards night .the day before her husband leaves for work never to return so Mary goes and tries to track him down and ends up at her mother in laws and staying .in the end her husband never returns

I liked this book, not a big page turner, but an interesting story. The Girls was much better. :)

This is the 3rd book by Lori Lansens that I have read, and it was just as great as the others :)

Got lost in her world, beautifully written, extremely disappointed by the ending.
