review 1: I love Lori Wilde's stories--they're the kind I want to write! The people are so real and warm, and their problems are so easy to identify with. In this book, the whole town of Paradise, TX comes alive, and hero and heroine Travis and Sarah become like dear friends. Travis is bad boy turned amazing father. Sarah is a wounded soul who's found solace in her talent as a writer. When she returns "home" to Paradise to help Travis' sick little girl, the sparks that fly are heartwarming. Give this book a read if you want some feel-good time curled up with blankets and cookies!
review 2: I was looking forward to this book as a good rainy afternoon distraction. What started out as a good premise however soon got bogged down. I've read other Lori Wilde books and enjoye... mored them, but while this was part of her series set in Twilight, TX and therefore had some secondary characters of interest, the two protagonists dragged out every second of their relationship. I don't read romance paperbacks to be filled with angst, I read them for the happy ending. This book left me feeling like I wasn't sure these two were capable of being happy! Sad to say, this one left me cold. less
