review 1: A fitting end to a great series. I enjoyed these Scoundrels. William Graves is a gentleman and it's so sweet that he's been pining for Winnie ever since he saved her life after she was nearly beaten to death by her husband. The novella moves briskly and I came to admire Winnie and her transformation from a frightened mouse to a roaring lioness. The exploration of battered women was well done. As usual, the writing was top-notch.
review 2: The plot was fine, if pretty incredibly predictable; Lorraine Heath's writing was lovely, as always. But dear GOD, the grammar & punctuation. It's not like there was a rogue comma or two--I'm not perfect either, and I can get over that if everything else is fine. But I'm not talking a rogue comma--I'm talking EVERY SENTENCE ha... moreving either grammar or punctuation errors. One star for a completely distracting lack of editing. less
