review 1: What a journey. The beauty on the unknown, stepping outside your comfort zone can bring untold joy into your life. And so it is for Luki, a man who wears his scars outside and in. His chance meeting with Sonny, a quiet, artistic and at times fearless man, may be just what Luki needs. Conversely Luki may be just what Sonny needs. Complicate this burgeoning romance with threats, vandalism and kidnapping and you have the ingredients for a wonderful reading adventure.Sylvre has produced a lovely story with strong and yet broken men. This is the first in a series and I will return for the rest! Great afternoon read.
review 2: REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCE3.75 StarsLuki and Sonny are one of the most interesting couples I have come across lately. I can’t honestly
... more say that I loved them but they kept me intrigued and wanting to know more. From the moment they look at each other you know something more is going to happen, even though both men are relationship phobic and have no idea what they are doing. The fantastic writing really draws you into the story. There is a complex plot with a lot of back story and it is certainly a book that requires a lot of focus whilst reading. For me it seemed a little too complicated but it did keep me guessing until almost the end.Luki and Sonny are dragged into a kind of murder, mystery hate crime that they wrongly make assumptions about at first. Young teens are being used and abused and the hunt is on to find the mysterious Mr K who is behind it all. During the investigation Sonny and Luki grow closer but both have major issues from their pasts that make things difficult possibly even impossible. As things come to a climatic end the true source of all the hatred and who it was aimed at becomes clear. There wasn’t really any closure given though at the end of the book so it is straight onto Book 2 to find out what happens next. less

I have read this story twice. I love the two main characters and I plan to continue the series.
