review 1: This book is great as long as you understand stars and distances measured in parsecs, are politically correct enough to be patient to hear both the American and European versions of all measurements, and you like to learn about all things by comparing their size and distance to a golf ball compared to, say...a mountain. If you enjoy that, read this. If you don't dig that, read anything by Andy Stanley instead.
review 2: This was an easy book to read as a devotional, reading a short chapter per day. I really enjoyed learning about the solar system and God's amazing creation. It made me feel so small in the grand scheme of things, yet not at all insignificant. What an encouragement to know that God's love for us is so indescribable, He reaches across time and ... morespace to draw us to Himself, to have a relationship with us. Truly, the heavens do declare His handiwork and His divine nature is revealed to us in the skies. We read parts of this book out loud as a family and it was enjoyed by everyone. There were lots of statements like "That is SO COOL!" This book gave us a better appreciation for astronomy and God's love for us. FYI: There are many beautiful color pictures included so make sure you get the book in a format where you can enjoy them. less
