review 1: OMG! I am loving the fighters of L.P. Dover’s Gloves Off series. I really enjoyed the introductions we get of Dover’s MMA fight world in A FIGHTER’S DESIRE parts 1 and 2. Both novellas leave me wanting to know more about EVERYONE.Part 1 does a great job hooking the reader into the series. How can you go wrong meeting Ryley and Camden? It would be a mistake to just take the twins at face value…there’s much more going on beneath the surface. The reader only catches a glimpse but enough that the wondering will have you ready for the next book.Part 2 gives a closer look at the friendships in the Gloves Off series. I enjoyed learning more about Gabriella and Tyler. And the steamy scenes were a bonus. The story that started in Part 1 continues in Part 2 and wi... morell only have the reader waiting for the next book.I’m totally hooked on Dover’s fighters and can’t wait to read more. Bring them on!
review 2: I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.This book is unusual in it's concept in that it's two longish novellas that are intertwined. The books are set in the world of professional fighters. In the first is Ashleigh, a college girl who is friends with Gabrielle. Gabrielle's brother is the heavyweight champion. Through Gabi, Ashleigh has seen and heard of the Jamieson twins, fighters who share not only a career but also women. Colin is another complication to Ashleigh's love life.In the second story, Gabrielle and Tyler's story is explored. Tyler is interested in Gabi, but wary of Gabi's brother and hurting her. He's a player who doesn't do commitment. Gabi is determined to have him. This story dips into the continuance of Ashleigh and the Jamieson twins lives which was good. I preferred Gabi's story. Look forward to reading more about these characters. less
