review 1: As I suspected, I really enjoyed this - I tend to have a soft spot for books set, even partially, in India... The shifting back and forth wasn't too disturbing, although it felt a bit frequent to my taste. I wouldn't have minded a bit more about Anni's later life, and the end with Rebecca and Ari was a bit quick. I guess I wouldn't have minded it being longer, or a sequel. Great holiday type read. I think the ray has ended here, so we'll see where it goes next.
review 2: This story line was so intriguing and kept my attention! I could barely put the book down! The descriptions of India were beautiful - I almost felt like I was there for a moment. This culture is obviously very different from mine here in the United States and I found it very colorful and differ
... moreent from what I am accustomed to. I was intrigued to see the contrasts of England and India through the eyes of the Indian girls who traveled there. Even the smells in the air were immediately described as being different between the two countries. I would like to go to India! The storyline was incredible, I couldn't figure out the twists and turns even though I thought I had three quarters of the way through the book. This is a very enjoyable read with depth and intrigue! A must read! less
