review 1: Very interesting & entertaining read. Part of the historical background of this book was the SOE: F Section who were a group of British women who served undercover during WW2 in France. These heroines helped the Resistance & others to get vital information back to England that helped win the war. The author has a brief bibliography at the end of the book if readers which to learn more about the historical background of this book.
review 2: I really enjoyed this novel. It depicts war-torn England and France and the mysterious relationship between two families. Very intriguing. The characters are good people (except for that one German officer...) and demonstrate nobility and courage. I like that this novel depicts a combination of romance, adventure, intellectua... morel conversation, finding oneself, learning who you are, recognizing and avoiding deception, learning about your family history, and good values. less
