Key West Food Critic Mystery

review 1: I can't say this was a great mystery but the setting is what snagged me. Having visited Key West somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 times while my former mother-in-law lived there this felt a little like reading about my childhood neighborhood. Contemporary enough to include places I visited the last time I was there four years ago but new enough to include some that I didn't know about. Makes me want to go back for a visit -- and to check out a couple of the restaurants mentioned.
review 2: SO I had to quit reading this book for awhile because I started reading one on loan that had the same description main character: worked at a local newspaper writing a food column AND were named Hayley! Yes, it got confusing, but I still enjoyed this one after I was able ... moreto separate the two books. In this, we get to meet Hayley's mother and see how their relationship with one another is while still trying to solve a murder and eat yummy foods! I loved the descriptions of some of the foods and it made me want to go find similar stuff right away (too bad I was camping and couldn't). I did guess who it was at one point, but I liked the mystery of why they did it and what was going on with everyone. Next please! less
