review 1: I recieved this free as one of the daily giveaways. The book was fairly well written. I was almost as if one were engaged in a one-on-one conversation with the author. As the title says, it was about International Sex Trafficking, and the author provided experiences in various countries. The text was sometimes expanded to include mafias, gangs, and military connections to sex trafficking, in an effort to identify other areas of focus to end sex trafficking, rather than just removing one person at a time from the situation.
review 2: Das Thema wohl sehr ernst - schlimm, wie ernst, erschütternd hätte ich beinahe nicht realisiert. Fand ich doch den Schreibstil bis zur Mitte des Buches eher oberflächlich, lieblos, so dass ich das Buch beinahe nicht fertig ge... morelesen weglegen wollte. Ich als Leser blieb distanziert, dachte aus Zeitungen, Internet alles schon gehört zu haben, es betreffe mich/uns in unserer heilen "Heidi" Welt nicht .. es berührte mich nur an der Oberfläche. Dann wurde es eindringlicher, erschütternder. Zusammenhänge wurden aufgezeigt, mit Augenzeugenberichten verwoben. Die erschütternden Schicksale bekamen ein Gesicht und es begann tief unter die Haut zu gehen.
