review 1: One for the Murphy's is about a girl who's husband is abusive and one night he goes to far. When she gets out of the hospital, Carly has only known one kind of life style, this is all very new to her. She acts out in ways she can't help. I liked this book because it teaches you about how bad it is for some people when they go home from school. It teaches you not to judge people just by what you see. I recommend this book to people who think that they can relate or like reading about people who can overcome things like being in an abusive home.
review 2: I loved this book and I gave it a 5 star rating because it shows how hard it can be for a foster kid. Summary: A girl named Carley goes threw a hard time with her mom. While her mom is in the hospital unconsciou... mores she has to stay with the Murphys. At first she doesn't like it but after a while she becomes one of them. At school she gets a best friend and she feels like she's a Murphy. Then she gets news from her mom that she is all better. She wants to stay, but she wants to go. I think this is realistic. I would recommend this book to people who likes drama and a heartwarming stories. less
