review 1: Alexei Drakos comes from a powerful Greek family. When he is a teenager Alexei meets Billie and instantly feels protective of her but she starts dating one of his "friends". When they grow up, he offers Billie the role of his assistant. She accepts and they have the perfect employer-employee relationship until one night Alexei seduces her and takes her virginity while drunk. That same night he has an accident suffers amnesia and has no memory of having sex with Billie. When Billie discovers that she is pregnant she goes away, has the baby in England, and passes the baby off as her aunt's when she moves the baby back to the island where she reunites with Alexei. I have a love/hate relationship with the hero in this book. I wanted to hate him after a lot of things happened b... moreut I couldn't. The story takes us on a roller coaster of emotions. Lots of angst and miscommunication but I couldn't put it down!
review 2: This one was a vacation read. I really appreciated the depth the author gave to the background and relationship between Alexei and Billie. I was not happy when I got to the end of the book and didn't find an ending, but a cliffhanger. It's not like it'll be easy to track down the next book. It's not the kind of cliffhanger that I can't live without reading the next book, but I do like some closure! Overall, I'd say this was good read though. less
