review 1: Nicholas - brother to Thomas and Jeanne Louise - is a rogue vampire who used to be a rogue hunter. Apparently he killed a woman in his grief after losing his life mate. He has been on the run for 50 years. But in his free time, he continues hunting rogues. He has tracked one to the new hunter base and he risks his own freedom to chase him inside the compound. Where of course he saves his life mate Jo and gets caught. She is human and has no clue what is going on. But she manages to save him anyway. A lot of this book follows them on the run from both the rogue Nic was chasing and the hunters.
review 2: Nicholas Argeneau was once a respected and well liked Rogue Hunter (a vampire who hunts bad vamps). But after his wife and unborn child die, he loses it... more and now he is one of the Rogues being hunted. But he can't stop hunting Rogues. He tracks one to the Enforcers Compound and watches him sneak through the security check point. Nicholas does the same even though he is now in the place where those hunting him are in residence.Jo and her sister Amy are visiting their sister Sam and her fiance Mortimer at the Enforcer house. More and more males keep arriving. They stare at each of them for a few minutes and then ignore them. Jo is bored and leaves the house for some air. Ernie (bad Rogue) grabs Jo and is starting to bite her when Nicholas intervenes. Nicholas is caught and put into a cell. Jo decides she has to release and save Nicholas, no matter what Sam and Mortimer say. She is determined to prove that everyone is wrong about Nicholas. less
