review 1: Normally I really love Lynsay Sands' works, but this was just alright. I liked the characters well enough. I liked the story well enough. Everything that was going on for most of it was fairly interesting. There wasn't anything that really stood out, but that normally would have been enough for me to fully get into this. This time around however, I couldn't enjoy it on that level. The ending was very rushed, in my opinion. I felt like the story worked at a steady pace and then all of a sudden everything is all summed up neatly and then it jumps ahead to when she's giving birth after spending the whole story fearing giving birth. I feel like other parts of the story could have been more fast paced in order to give the ending a bit more focus. Worth a read to fans of the gen... morere and of the author, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone trying to get into either for the first time.
review 2: Enjoyable, fast-paced read. I actually liked the story and most of the characters. I would have rated it higher but the sex started almost immediately before the main characters even had a chance to get to know each other. I always appreciate seeing the building of a relationship and I missed that with these characters. I also didn't feel all the sex was necessary for the story telling. I will read more by this author. less
