review 1: This book is fantastic! The illustrations were marvelous as they changed color from black and white to a range of colors. As the main character, Annabelle, uses her newly found box of yarn to create sweaters for her whole town, she transforms the book into a world of happiness and color. Annabelle encounters a villain, as any good fairytale leading lady does, who tries to take the box of yarn for his selfish wants. Good prevails as the box is magically returned to Annabelle for a picture perfect ending. I highly recommend this book because of the lovely use of transitional color. This story is such a fun and simple read aloud.
review 2: Extra Yarn is that story of a little girl named Annabelle who found a box of yarn. She soon found out that the yarn never ran... more out and started knitting for everyone in the town. Eventually an arch duke found out about this and stole the box. Once he returned home with it he found the yarn did not work for him like it did the child. This teaches children not to be greedy and take what isn’t yours. Accept that some people will be better at things than you and everyone has a different strength.
